RYSE, Inc. grew out of a youth organizing movement spurred by a string of homicides near Richmond High School. These incidents galvanized students to address the violence and lack of safety at school and in their community. Today, 36 staff) lead programs devoted to community health; media, art, & culture; education & justice, and youth leadership. RYSE, Inc. provides safe spaces grounded in social justice for more than 700 young people of color (YPOC) each year to build youth power, love, learn, educate, heal and transform lives and communities. For this initiative, RYSE and Contra Costa County Health Services (CCCHS) will partner to design and implement the Health Home project i to reimagine systems that heal rather than harm and that center liberation for BYMOC as a collective vision for a healthy community. RYSE has a lot of influence in Contra Costa County.  The Director of the CCCHS has asked them to lead their internal work of redesigning their approach to better serving the community
